PLAYERS OF THE WEEK. Bec Farrell & Ethan Williams & Holly Pinnuck & Josh Nunan

June 4, 2018

GIRLS Player of the Week – Bec Farrell

U18YG-  Bec received player of the week for her influential efforts across the ground whilst playing in the midfield against Queenwood on the weekend.

Her consistency, strong marking and leadership throughout the game created great passages of play and scoring opportunities.

Bec constantly gives her all during training and every game, and is a valuable leader and member of the team.

BOYS Player of the Week - Ethan Williams

U17 - Ethan Williams - Number 27

Standing at 194cm tall, Ethan is the starting ruckman for the U17

Division 1 Boys.

One of the toughest players in the team, Ethan works tirelessly all day, giving the midfield first use with his taps, then following up by winning the ball or laying a bone crunching tackle.

Auskick BOYS Player of the Week – Josh Nunan

Boys - Whether it’s kicking the ball with his Dad or playing Sunday Auskick with his Manly Bombers buddies, Josh simply loves to run around and kick the footy.

Josh was bound to at least try the game with his Grandfather from Victoria, who played over 200 games for the Cobram Tigers, encouraging and kicking the ball with him at every chance.

Watching Josh kick the ball with his Grandfather you’re not sure if it’s him or his Papa who’s getting more joy from the practice. Josh is quick on his feet and kicks well on the run.

He also enjoys Wednesday practice and singing the Club song.

Well done Josh. Your parents are as proud as punch!

Auskick GIRLS Player of the Week – Holly Pinnuck

U7 Girls- I started paying Auskick in 2018 for the U7s, so it’s my first season. I started playing Auskick because I always love trying new things, it looked really good watching my older brother Jasper play it, and Daddy said it’s a really fun game too! - he played it heaps when he was a boy back in the olden days!

I want to be able to beat him soon. The most exciting thing in AFL is when I do a really big kick! I feel really happy when it goes far, and feel proud to be part of the team.

The best part of the Auskick training is when the Daddy-helpers hold the ball up high and we have to try and grab it off them.

I sometimes sneak around behind them, and give them a smack on their bottoms!

I support my local AFL team - Manly Bombers of course. because they definitely have the best song!

Being our Players of the Week they have won a free sausage sandwich or egg and bacon roll and a drink from the Club House canteen.
