Auskick BOYS Player of the Week – Aengus O’Hagan
U6 Boys - Aengus began his footy career at the Manly Bombers this year in our U6 Auskick squad.
He is supported by his Mum and Dad and sister!
Aengus joined the Bombers because he thought it would be fun and he could teach his dad some moves !
Aengus says he loves doing the drills and goal kicking. He was so excited to kick a goal, especially because his dad saw it.
He took a video to send to his family in Ireland.
“I went to my first Swans game this year and I can’t wait for the next.
I even stayed up late on Friday night watching it with my dad when I should have been in bed”
Well done Aengus we are happy to have you as a Manly Bomber and your Dad seems like he might be learning some new skills too!
Auskick GIRLS Player of the Week – Emma Smith
U7 Girls- Emma started Auskick as an under 5 year old, and is now in her third year of Auskick in the Under 7’s.
She initially started because her older brother Geoff played Auskick and she figured it would be better to join in rather than sit and watch.
And she likes having something to do on Sunday mornings (her parents less so!)
Emma is a big Richmond Tigers fan, and her favourite player is Dusty Martin. She loved watching Richmond win the Grand Final last year and seeing Dusty win the Norm Smith medal.
Her favourite part of Auskick is being in the ruck, except when she’s against tall people.
She also loves the warm ups and playing the girls only games after the mixed skills and drills sessions.
Being our Players of the Week they have won a free sausage sandwich or egg and bacon roll and a drink from the Club House canteen.
