U17 Player of the Week - Marcus Vilnis
Player of the Week from U17s is one of our mighty ruckman and forward line player - Marcus Vilnis.
The towering number 36 has been playing AFL since U/9s, after being introduced to AFL and the Bombers by his mate, former Bomber and current U19s Wolves player, Taine Wright.
Marcus has participated in the Swans Academy program for 4 years and gained further insight into the game during two years as an umpire.
We love Marcus's commitment to every play and to his team. He's a valuable contributor, a relentless attacker of the ball, humble and a true team player.
AUSKICK Player of the Week – Daniel Thompson
Daniel Thompson joined Manly Bombers Auskick in 2018 in the under 7 team.
This is his second season and he in now under 8.
Daniel enjoys most sports and after the first training session in the under 7’s he decided this
was the sport he wanted to stick with.
There are 4 boys from his school class in the Auskick team and they look forward to training together during the week and on Sunday mornings.
Daniel’s favourite thing is to play a game with his team mates and his favourite drill is kicking for goal.
Daniel did follow Melbourne Demons as his first team, like his family, but now has the Swans and also Essendon Bombers equal favourites. Daniel’s favourite player is Essendon’s Joe Daniher because they both wear number 6 on their jumper.
