Player of the Week – Mac
Mackenzie (Mac) has had a stellar start to the 2019 season! With the two most recent U14 girls matches being very tough contests, as one of our best defenders, Mac has been called on to take a great deal of the load.
She has stepped up to the challenge admirably and was involved in almost every contest in this weekend’s match.
Her tackling and spoiling were excellent and she was able to clear the ball on a number of occasions in difficult circumstances!
Mackenzie loves her footy and is showing great talent with seletion into the Swans Academy and the North AFL Representative side over the last two years.
We look forward to continue seeing great things from her as the season progresses.
Player of the Week - Kai Turner (U13) Red
Kai started playing Auskick for Manly Bombers when he was in kindergarten and has been playing for the Bombers ever since.
He represents the Manly Bomber’s values of tenacity, teamwork and courage: he never gives up on getting the ball or keeping the opposition honest.
Kai always goes the extra mile in making his second and third attempts and does this with class.
Thanks Kai for giving so much to your team and for all your wonderful smiles and words of encouragement to your mates: you are a great Manly Bombers leader.
Auskicker of the Week – Jesse Jackson
This is Jesse's first season at Manly Bombers Auskick.
He started playing because he loves to run, jump, kick and hand pass ... and let's face it, what other sport can offer all of that?!
What Jesse loves most about Auskick is running around with his team mates in the mini games, especially when he kicks a goal.
His favourite Auskick drill is Ruckman's Treasure and he supports the Sydney Swans.
Jesse's coach John says he's a great listener and tries hard to improve his skills but most importantly, he displays great sportsmanship.
Being our Players of the Week they have won a free sausage sandwich or egg and bacon roll and a drink from the Club House canteen.
